Deadlines:
Preliminary Reports

Counsel for the plaintiffs and the defendants are ordered to submit separate written statements indicating their preliminary understandings of the facts involved in the litigation and the critical factual and legal issues. The submissions are to contain the parties’ proposals for the organization of counsel.

Applications for Lead and Liaison Counsel Appointments
Applications for the lead and liaison counsel must be filed with the clerk’s office.

Discovery
The parties must make voluntary disclosures under Rule 26(a).

Proposed Confidentiality Order
The defendant must submit to the Court and to the plaintiffs a list of the persons or entities as to whom the defendant would like advance notice.

Rule 12 Motions
The defendant must file its Rule 12 motion.

Interrogatories and Document Requests
The parties may serve one joint set of interrogatories and document requests.

The parties must respond to the interrogatories and document requests.

Deadlines:
Move to Separate Causes of Action from the Master Administrative Complaint

Counsel for plaintiffs in the underlying lawsuits whose complaints contain causes of action that are not included in the Master Administrative Complaint must move to separate those causes of action from the Master Administrative Complaint. Otherwise, the Court will dismiss those claims with prejudice.

May 16, 2005 Deadlines:
Reply to the Response to Rule 12 Motion
The defendant must file a reply brief in response to the plaintiff’s response to the defendant’s Rule 12 motion.
